How large is the beta? I have a really bad internet connection!

How large is the beta?
I am downloading the file called sin.sdc now. How many more files after that?
If it keeps up at this rate i will maybe play it after easter. I hate this bloddy internet connection. Hope someone can tell how large it is this beta. I can hardly wait to have some un-fun testing.

HE HE, i am from norway. The richest country in the world. Thanks largely to our enormous oil fund and oil industry. Only ten percent of the population cant get broadband, and off course i am one of them, i live a couple of kilometers from the the broadband terminal, 2km too long from it to get broadband, thats the price you have to pay to live away from the big cities. But in the towns you cant get a house like the one my family has for a million kroner either. You have to pay between 2 or three million kroner for a large house in the city. And i hate living in the city.
The average pay in Norway is 300k. But there is hope i some day will get broadband, the government has made a promise to get broadband to the remaing ten percent how cant get it today.

Hmm do you mean kB/s or kb/s? A ISDN connection is 64 kb/s = 8 kB/s. If you really meant kb/s then the download will take something like 24 hours, but since you're at 8% already and it reports only 4 hours remaining I am guessing it's kB/s.

Just out of curiosity, what kind of connection is it you have?

Its a dial up where you connect to GSM net, something the old cell phones where on. Its kB/s. 2 hours remmaning now. The company is called ICE.

Is that as expensive as it sounds?

My home is in northern Norway and we just recently got wireless "broadband" (512/512 kb/s) up there, so I can relate to having limited internet access. Atm. I am studying in Oslo though, so I have 10 Mb/s here

Ah another norweigan
Oh and yes it cost some, can only download like a Gigabyte a month and it cost like 350kr per month.
If i want something downloaded i just message one of my friends, and they download it for me. One of them works with computers, so he has a great broadband. The company pays for it, can you have any better than that?
I thought i was the only norweigan here. Hehe, it`s a small world.
