Will SINS run on this?

I have XP, 512 MB RAM, 2.4 GHz processer, and a Nvidia GeForce 5200

I know my vid card sucks, but I don't have the money to upgrade (I don't even have the right slots - device manager says the vid card is in PCI slot 1 and you need a PCI-e or an AGP for most knew vid cards, don't you?)

Supcom beta really stunk on my computer, they didn't even guess at system specs so I downloaded it.

Yeah, sins will run on it. Probably should go with no AA and maybe medium/low texture quality.

AA? Sorry, but whats that? Oh, and in case it doesn't work, can I cancel my preorder (I haven't preordered yet, but I want to. I just need someone with a credit card... )?

It will run, but with just a little more RAM you'll enjoy it even more

Thanks, I'll see if I can get this tonight, but what is AA ?

Tell me about it

My graphics card is an ATI radeon x1600 series.

You should be fine, other than the glowing asteroids issue...

The glowing asteroids give off a nice look when you nuke them. Something you nvidians dont get. >

What about my rig.

TheGreatEmperor I am going to have to say no... just for the mild satisfaction that you will be worried now that it won't run.

Ok.. I think you should be ok, but more Ram and a better video card would increase your playing enjoyment immensely.

Yes and it would also be quite impossible to do, I have nazi/communist parents who think all computer games and tv programs are attempts by the government to brainwash me and turn me into a public service worker....

It should run fine on low/medium settings.

Your parents sound nice...

They are, truly.

Fun playing jokes on them though, everytime I go out of the house I tell them I am going to go snort cocaine and smoke some weed.

Funny thing is they play along.

Back on topic:

Most of the screenshots dont looks as pretty as some of the ones they gave us before.
that's because they take screenshots on high detail when they release them. people making their own probably don't bother to switch to high graphics just for the SS.
Well I for one think the beta people should put in a little more effort to please the betaless minority.

Dont make me form an interest group

Hehe, dont worry GreatEmperor, they are getting better with every new submission in the screenshot post

Here are a few little screenshot pointers for everyone

a)Use the pause button and zoom/move about to get the best angle
b)Use CTRL+Shift+Z to remove the UI
c)Don't forget the action! Get some fighters & explosions in there for extra flavour.
d)Feature a dominant element in your composition. For example, a close up of a structure, with ships in the distance.
e)Go to menu > options > graphics and adjust your quality settings.

Well I hope to see better stuff... at least until I get the beta/game. :/
