download it from the stardock central program, and they are supposed to e-mail the key to the account you signed up with when you preordered it. It's on stardock central now, but you can't get it yet i think

that's for a game you've bought and have the key for, however for pre-order the reference number given is not the serial key (i've tried it anyways) and the isntructions specifically stated that stardock would e-mail pre-order customers when the d/l was ready. Just have to wait some more it seems

SentientSchematicsofNinjas have you never used SD central befor? But anyway i guess when you get your key emailed to you, you will then have to register the game thought stardock central, then you will have the option open to download it under the games list.

Downloading:
Open Stardock Central->Click Games->Click Sins of a Solar Empire->Click Install

Keys/Authentication:
Sins should auto-authenticate if you allow it through your firewall. If that fails or you don't want it to get through the firewall, you can retrieve your serial number by using Stardock Central->Tools->Lookup Serial.

You don't need Gmail. Use the "My account/registrations" section at the top of the page. (totalgaming.net)

Well all in all the whole email/ download thing went very well, I am downloading it at work, and burning it to a DVD to take home and install
