Good News From The Doc

I had my appointment with the doctor this morning. He said that if the witch doctor approves on Friday I can return to work next week. He also said that I should do a little bit of driving this week to get my back muscles used to it again.

The boss is going to come by and pick me up later today and take me over to the yard to get my truck. It's going to feel good to not have to depend on the taxi service to get around, and will feel even better to get back to work next week.

Thanks. I now have both docs thinking along the same lines now so hopefully I'll be back on the road next week.

(I've downloaded the slackware images. If it's the case that I'll have to do more at the CLI level I won't mind at all. It will be a good refresher for the college course I had on it a couple of years ago. It was actually a split AS400 / Unix course.)

Yep, shouldn't be long now. The boss came by and picked me up and took me to my truck so I now have wheels once again. No more cab rides. Having my own transportation back really makes me feel a bit less stranded.

Thanks. I don't think I'll be doing any tarping for a while. I'm following the doc's orders as best I can. I do have a bit of a stubborn streak but I'm trying to behave.
