Damn, mine just barely 3.0 overall.

I wish that there were more details available.  I know that I don't have the best RAM . . but I have 2 GB just like Justin and Fuzzy but I end up with a score of 4.1 and they have 5.9 and 5.0 respectively.

Seems like a pretty crappy measurement system to me.

Mine was 5.4 before (I think), but I think the timings are being affected as I overclock.

Edit... thinking on it, I have a matched pair (1 gig each) of 800mhz DDR2 corsair memory.  You guys?

I'll have to check later . .  but if that's the criteria then the stupid evaluation or recommendation should say so.  Ya dig?

Yeah.  Ram performance isnt just about how much ya got... its how it does its job.

My gaming was 5.9 until I updated to the latest nVidia drivers. Typical...

Yea, my gaming dropped from 4.8 to 4.7 as well after the last Nvidia "update". That's what made me thinking...

Damn!
2.6 here, hampered by my FX5200.
I want to actually play my OWN dreams!

(Well, just wait. My Octacore is coming. Just a matter of time.)

That makes sense . . but the tool should report that too then.

Your graphics card (Radeon X1300) isn't good. It's actually worse than Radeon X800 . so I think that kinda explains the low score, no?
My Radeon X1300 didn't get a score that low...I got a 4.7 for Graphics and a 4.2 for Gaming Graphics...
Wait...its probably because mine was an X1300Pro...nevermind.

Well that pisses me off. Because I called Dell (after) I got my computer and that was the Card that recommended. They sent me the Card and I had to take it to a Tech. here in town and he put it in for me. I had someone from Dell orginally help me put it together when I bought it but I wanted the Ulimate software (if I had to have Vista.)
So both times they didn't give me the best Video Card. (Am I rambling) I think so , it's late, but I wish I knew more, so I didn't have to relie on other people.
Oh, Well Good night......

My card doesnt have any problems rendering anything at all really, all my games work fine on it, and Aero is a breeze. It's just that it scores low....I mean it works fine (for me anyway)
Thanks Armbut. Yes my computer works fine. I will stop complaining. Just had a moment there.
Im sorry, I kinda did too. I mean even I complain about the supid WEI scores at times...like mine and my friends laptops for example. He has a higher graphics score with his ATI Radeon X1100 than my ATI Radeon X1150. Its...weird.

Numbers aren't everything. Some card manufactures change things.

Score increased by turning down resolution and color settings during the rating.

CPU: 4.0
RAM: 4.5
Graphics: 2.6
Gaming: 3.0
HDD: 5.4

Score: 2.6

My Vista Experience is down on what it should be due to having to remove a 1gb stick of RAM that failed....hopefully I'll get the replacement on Monday.

CPU: AMD Athlon 64x2 4600 = 4.9
Memory: Legend DDR400 RAM 2gb = 4.2
Graphics: Nvidia 7600GS 512mb = 4.8
Gaming: graphics performance = 4.9
HDD: Samsung 200gb SATA = 5.3

When the 1gb of RAM is restored my score should be back at 4.8.

Hi all, My Vista Score as below.
I have lowest score of 5.7 for an overclocked core2duo e6600 running at 3Ghz.
Using 2 gigs of Ram 667Mhz. Score calculations per second, 5.8
Video card is an XFX 7950 Gt. Score 5.9
and one Raptor x 160Gb and a seagate 160Gb for storing photos movies etc. Score 5.9.

But it means nothing as most of Stardock products do not work yet!
I know that some software is working but it seems it will be a while before I can truly skin again.
p.s While my score looks good my bank balance doesn't.

Intel video editing but seems to run games and Vista64 well.

00Nuke

Curious.. what is the model CPU you are using that is 3.7 GHZ? I didnt think intel had dual core chips above say a 2.7 (or 2.x)?

Cheers

above say a 2.7

its probably an overclocked core 2 duo

Intel Inspiron 5150 (purchased August 2003), main computer still runs like a charm thanks to my matrix fix

Intel Pentium 4 M 2.8GHz @ 908MHz (yeah, mass underclocked but no performance loss)
Toshiba 60GB 5400RPM IDE HDD
64mb nVidia GeForce FX Go5200 @ 235/470
512MB Samsung PC2700 DDR RAM

Not sure about individual scores (never checked), but overall score was 3.0 (I say was because I went back to XP after finding gaming near impossible on my machine with Vista)
BTW I get just over 3 hours gaming time on my laptop with those settings.

Believe it or not, with ngo video drivers for my card, I could actually run Aero Glass. So, those 'minimum requirements' for aero glass are... well... bullcrap
Reply #49 Top
The GeForce FX 5200 is the minimum requirement.
well a DX9 card is the minimum, the FX Go5200 being at the bottom of the barrel, then yes, in that sense it is the minimum.

But Vista also states the video card must have at least 128MB of RAM and the computer at least 1GB of RAM for Aero Glass. I have 64MB video and 512MB system, no registry hacks, just a driver.

For those of you thinking "musta run really crappy then, being 1/2 the minimum requirements", no, it actually ran really smooth, hence why I was hesitant to go back to Windows XP. After playing a game or two (NFS Carbon, actual races were normal speed; GTA San Andreas was just slow overall)
My only problem is that being on an Inspiron 5150, speedswitch XP is a must, or at least clocking down is. In order to get Vista's power management to work properly for the throttling, I had to go into standby and come back out, afterwards the throttling worked fine.
