I was born in 2176 and by an incident involving sandwich, duck, inner tube as well as drunk time machine operator, I'm stuck in this year. so technically I am minus 169 years old. I am physically 31 years old, however.

I'm fifty and a half....... halves are very important, especially when you are measuring things.....

43 on the 21st of July.

In looking at this post, I have come upon the answer to a question I asked long ago, which was: what makes some people want to skin their computer and others not? It's age! Ex: My buddy, Ruben, while into computers, has absolutely no interest in skinning. Based on the ages here, he's too young (32 y.o.). He hasn't matured yet. Wait'll I lay that on him!

I wish all the horseback riding and getting bucked off as well as waterskiing and snow skiing, sledding, skating, boating, working, dancing, jumping and tumbling on the trampoline, motorcycle crash and car accidents that were not my fault, hit by others hadn't had such an impact on my health. Glad to hear some of our (older) members can still do these things. Think it's in the dna if you suffer at such a young age as mine 53. Falling down the stairs at my sisters this past winter didn't help, four times mind you in 5 months.....13 steps. Have bad knees with a large lumb but no medical. Worries me but can't go to hospital till I bleed, or get sick again to the point where they will let me in.

Guess my mind's going a bit earlier than I thought. 49 years and 4 months old. Good Grief, Charlie Brown!!

Could be to a point - being osteo arthritis has been in my family for generations and I suffer badly with it - but it doesn't help when you knock yourself about, as it seems you have done.....

Me, well I've been bucked off more horses than I can poke a stick at; have had two nasty motorcycle accidents; got pinned under a fridge and broke several ribs while while working as a furniture mover; got kicked in the face with a steel capped boot by a work colleague who took it out on me cos he thought the boss favoured me more....and when I was a kid I fell 200 feet down a cliff while collecting some seagulls eggs for a school science project....

Yeah, it could be said I've had one or two hard knocks, but I still get around under my own steam, tho with much pain & difficulty at times.....bad knees, bad hips, bad back & neck (congenital fusion), bad shoulders as well as elbows, wrists and hands. As for going into hospital...sod it....spent 3 years straight in one after a bike accident, so I have a great aversion to hospital smells, the food and the sawbones.

Oh well, I no complain....I have a the good wife and a the kids, a mamma who a loves me, not so much of a the money and a pleny of a the bills.....but as the Joe Walsh a once a sang "Life's Been Good" to Me So Far.

My goodness Starkers, you got to be doing something wrong. Try skinning more.

Yeah, I was beginning to think that....that I was an accident just looking for someplace to happen. For a while there I was seriously considering giving the local emergency dept several pints of my own blood.....not for the just in case, but the when. Luckily, (touch wood) I haven't had anything serious go wrong for a while now, though a virus recently had me thinking I'd been poisoned. Fortunately, it only lasted a week or so, but there was a time when I thought I was dying....a nasty, nasty bug indeed.

Oh, and I tried skinning, but that proved to be a painful exercise....took all the skin off my right knee in one of the bike accidents....could see most of the kneecap.
