skinning aim

Does anyone know if it's possible to skin AIM 6.0? I know there were plugins for version 5 that allowed it.

And yes, I know there are programs out there like Trillian that can be skinned, I just like AIM's software better.

AIMutation is decent, but it doesn't work for version 6. When AOL released version 6, it was such an interface overhaul that they still offer version 5 for download as "AIM Classic."

It's just such an ugly interface..

Yeah I like the Meca im it has all your ims in one im and u can change the pic to whatever u want

Ummm..Trillian??

Im sorry, but AIM is another overbloated/stuffed AOL product with junk that you dont need or will ever use, shoved into your PC...Not to mention spyware...

Makes more sense to go with a cross platform "Skinable" client that isnt so bloated with "Junk" (for lack of another word that comes to mind)

If you dont care for Trillian there are others out there...

But it is your choice, people do grow attachments for programs and just cant seem to let them go..

There are TONS of skins for Trillian, and it supports almost all of the chat clients...
