connection issues

Yeah, before I came to college we had a cable connection so the pings were always sweet like in the fifties or lower.

Now I have to live with my college connection, which usually is somewhere between 65 and 999 depending on how many dumb-f**** are downloading pirated videos and/or songs.

I think its a satellite connection, and the high latency and shortages during thunderstorms support this.

Surprisingly the best times are 10 am and 4 am.

bwahahahaha, I have to live with my college connection, which is usually between 15 and 120 something depending on who i'm connection to and where. Gotta love 30mb downpipe (depending on the number of downloads, but a VAST campus network insures most stuff is available on LAN).

My ping is usually 30-50 on games like COH and SUPCOM

I have a 3MB down and 768 upload. Sadly its all thats offered in my area... 10MB Cable isn't offered...

Im om adsl 4096/768
To EU players i get between 60-100
To US i get about 150-250

But to australia its almost 999 or is it 998? Well its 99% of the time unplayable.

I usually only play on the US servers, I have also had issues with high ping to people in Australia and the EU...

When teh internets goes underwater it slows down I guess...

haha i don't play it much , i only played 1 game online against a friend (got my arse kicked), and in the single player campaign I am only on the 2nd mission... Sucks to be old and have to work all the time... anyway, with any game I play online I play as "lordkosc"... Keep an eye out for me!

I still feel mixed about SUPCOM, a lot I like about it, and a lot just keeps me from wanting to play it... After playing the Cnc3 demo, I like that style of play much better... I just wish the CnC3 level of zoom was more like that of SUPCOM.

Well its gonna be interesting to see how much it will require.
I did some testing on subcom beta, and it showed some heavy net load. Specialy on 8 player games.

On 2vs2 it was about 2kb/s down & up
on 4vs4 it was about 15kb/s down & up

14.4k should be the fastest anyone needs...
