I like the idea of randomized teams.

And a option to search for a ffa (free for all) with 3, 4, 5... 10 players

I am wondering how it is going to be run.

Mainly I am worried about cheating and spamming. Is it going to be strictly moderated, or with as little moderation as possible? What kind of UI does it have, what kind of team settings, what kind of chat rooms?

The basics.

Like in subcom when you search for a 1vs1 ranking match. This would be cool if you could set it up with any option you see fit.

Like if im searching for a 10player ffa map. Ill just be put into a game, and dont know who im gonna play with.

So what im suggesting is that there will be no game lobby. You just wait until all players have entered. And when your in the game, you can see who is there.
And by that you would need to negotiat. To make sure you have an ally if you wish

I just hope there ARE people playing it online... I picked up battlestations midway 2 weeks back and I was on gamespy the other night and no one was playing it...

Gamespy gives horrible multiplayer capabilities. Any game that uses it loses most of its multiplayer participants in less then two months. And GS still earns money cause they are on a contract.

I want this thread to be answered, these are the few good questions I have left!!

The second beta will be focussed on Ironclad Online and multiplayer stuff. You'll have to hold out a bit

to bad. I wonder if it's going to be better then SupCom's matchmaker. It neigh impossible to get a group of players that all work in one game.

also, having a seperate matchmaking program is really annoying, having to start the game every time you try to connect to a game is pretty annoying.

i am really glad that alot of time is being spent on multiplayer, I spent sooo long at the weekend
on supreme commanders multiplayer online trying to get a decent game 4v4 player 9 out of 10 times ends up with someone dropping in the first five minutes, 3v3 can be dodgy at times too,

theres going to be more players and less units with sins so hopfully we wont see the same supcom mess,

a big thing for me is not having to sacrifice graphics performance just to ensure a lag free game, with a 2bm line i shouldnt really have to,

its been mentioned before but i hope there is some kind of save game option for multiplayer, looking at supcom again it should not be too difficult when you take the replay valut as an example it shows the game from start to finish,

the difficult part will be actually continuing games at a suitable time especially for games with large numbers of players, a scheduling option for continuing ther game might be nice,

As long as the spam is moderated and there are private chat rooms I will be happy.

There is probably going to be an option to save the game to your pc. After that you can start up again later if you can get a hold of the same players. I liked the way SotS did it.

I hope there is a save option, from what it looks like a game of Sins will take a few hours(a big map)
