Question about left management bar

What extent is the left managament bar relied on to play this game?

I ask because are we still going to use it even in a zoomed out strategical view? or will it only be helpful if we are zoomed in on a battle and really just need to have quick access to empire controls

I think its meant for when you need to make a quick, basic move. not control every little twitch of every last fighter.

The left management bar will make your life easier, particularily when zoomed out, but the entire game can be played without touching it. You can collaspe the bar in full or part. Some of us prefer to view use a condensed version that displays tiny pips. Its really up to you
