http://wct2.communitytoolbars.com/

EDIT By Administrator (Zoomba)

This toolbar is not an official piece of software sanctioned by WinCustsomize or Stardock.  We are not involved in its development and do not know how it functions internally and handles your information.  If you download this toolbar, you do so at your own risk.  Stardock/WC is not responsible for any damage that may be caused to your PC by running this utility.

The WCT (Wincustomize Toolbar)has had a major refresh in accordance to the sites newer design.

The new layout has a simpler Gallery navigation, by sorting each gallery into 5 categories: Desktop Customization; Desktop Utilities; App. Skins; Images and Others.

The forums link will soon have you viewing whatever forum you want from the click of a button, even if you weren't even on the WC site.

You can now also browse the shop, from categories, to your shopping cart.

Other features:

RSS news ticker of the WC news.
Submit a skin or article from anywhere on the web.
Optional extras include:
E-Mail notifier
Pop-up blocker
Weather Forecast
Links to some of Windows main applications, from Office to Registry Editor.

And, all sections are fully customizable. You can hide, and remove buttons, as you please.

Also, Google Search comes standard, with a "Search This Site" extra.

Now I remember....Link

Is 180Solutions still involved, hardknocklife?
I know I read they were trying clean their image...but...

I never downloaded the first one, cuz I was waiting for somebody to post as to whether they tried it.

No Thanks...I'd rather eat glass or burn my own eyeballs out with a red hot poker than deal with anything to do with 180 Solutions.

but seeing ..It's free, with no spyware or viruses, does not open pop-ups or hijack your searches, and no personal information is required.

whats in it for you?

let's not be harsh
it's just something he made to contribute

Its harsh because Ive seen that what that company has done to a lot of peoples computers and that Ive had to fix.

I mean if theres nothing wrong with the toolbar now as far as annoyances, uninstall problems, spyware etc etc.. then by all means people feel free to try it..but just because it says it doesnt contain anything malicious.. doesn't mean it doesnt.

I wont be checking it out unless its officially endorsed by WC.

Ditto.  Insightful.

Read in a PC mag a while back that the majority of toolbars/browser helpers phone home with regularity regarding surfing habits, etc....so unless this one's created and/or endorsed by Stardock/WC, I'll be steering a very wide berth of it.

I have no idea where you guys are getting the idea that it has spyware etc. It's perfectly safe. I made it mainly because I was bored though

Also, what's 180 Solutions? It's made with a company called Conduit :s

Anyway, as I said when I first made it, Conduit guarantees no spyware, and I haven't had any problems with it. No pop-ups, no messing with searches or anything. It's 100% safe. I'll upload some screens to show you

You don't need to provide any information. No name, no address, no number, NOTHING. The only information you provide is your e-mail if you want to use the e-mail notifier, and even then, you don't get any spam

If you want proof there is no spyware... All I need to say is that I'm using the toolbar. I'm not going to make something that deliberately pisses people off, and then install it so it pisses me off... am I? It also un-installs easily. I've used many toolbars from very trusted people on other communities. I don't know if anyone on here knows of it, but a community project called TMOA, a radio show for The Movies fans, made a toolbar with the same company, Conduit. TMOA has hundreds of listeners and the host is extremely high profile in the community. To then give hundreds of people spyware would just be unheard of.
