Need help with pull down menu text

from WinCustomize Forums


Ok, never ran into this problem before and getting pretty frustrated trying to fix it. The FILE menu is fine. Regular, clear fonts. The second drop menu for NEW has shadowed fonts. In SkinStudio's font presets, I don't even have any Fonts installed with Shadows. They are all turned off. I can't find where this setting lives.

Anyone know this one? I'd appreciate the help.

Classic Colors section....Button face and highlighted text color will come into play with those menus.

Thanks Night Train, You got me looking in the right place, "Background - Menu" in Classic Colors is actually the one that did the trick. I set it to match the color of the (trumpet blast) Menu Background   

Never would of made the connection though. Odd setting if you ask me, but thanks again, big time! You just ended a day and a half of head scratching, tinkering, reapplying, hung up on one little section.

It's only an issue when using ClearType, I believe.

Damn... I didnt know there was a trumpet blast menu background image

Oddly enough I get the same blurred text on the menus of many skins if I set my computer for ' Clear Type ' in the Display - I have to set it for standard to use some of my favorite skins.
