capture ships

From what I've read so far, there won't be any ship capturing or ramming in SoaSE. Hopefully, those abilities will be included in the editor for modders though.

No ship stealing. Though I believe that the Advent have some capabilities to mind-control enemy ship crews for limited periods of time.

It's a shame really, 20% of space combat for me is storming enemy ships and space stations...mah well, you win some you lose some.

Sorry. When I played Homeworld 2, people kept stealing my Battleship, and then they used it to destroy my Mothership.

or dont go into combat with an uncovered BC.

The HW community was fretting over this issue when the game/forums/publishing issue was still in its early stages. I think the reason they left it out is that there would be too many balancing issues with whether or not you inherit a ship's level and its race specific abilities and its also a lot more micro. Remember, it's NOT HW, even if it has a lot of appeal for HW fans.

I'll bet your first mistake was building BCs. Carrier-replaced frigates were the true powerhouse in that game if the map allowed you to build that big without getting swamped by smaller craft.

Don't think so, I remember trying it and they just abort right before they're supposed to win.

I thought it was possible (tried it once) but I forget.
