Unable to start Multiplicity on primary computer

I have been able to set up Multiplicity on both my two other computers and have it installed on my primary computer. All computers are running Windows XP. I get Multiplicity to start, however, the icon in the system tray is black and says Disconnected when I pass my cursor over it. I am running Norton Internet Security and get the message about third-party firewall when I start up Multiplicity. I have allowed both Multipli.exe and Multisrv.exe in Norton, but do not know how to make sure that port 30564 is open. Any help?

Once you have installed MP on the primary, did you go to the Interface tab and then click on the configure button and set the secondaries up?

Yes I did. I was also wondering if having a static IP might be part of my problem. All my computers have the same IP address.

Each machine on your network must have its own address.  Your internet connection might have a static IP, but your machines on your network will have their own IPs.

Are you sure you entered the right IP to connect to?
