anomalies

will sins have anomalies? If so in Multiplayer or singleplayer or both? It would be great to have them in MP

I've only ever seen asteroids, which don't really count as an anomaly, other than that I haven't seen any.

Can you call a pirat an anomali? lol, then the question is yes.

what?? I'm talking about ghost ships wandering, ancient structures, strange radiation leak, harmful clouds, electromagnetic clouds, strange field emitting devices, unknown force fields, wormholes opening, bioplasmic substance, floating chemicals, a ancient probe/satelite COME ON THE WORKS!!!!!! U know random strange stuff happening. Whether harmful or just a insignificant event.

Sins wont have any of that???

Ok, generally that's what make space games (although some chooses to ignore them) and space interesting. Oh dont forget about nova bursts and quasars

Never thought about anomalies for this game tho

The thing that draws me into sins:
The scale of things.
The possibility of betraying allies.
Bounty.
Theres pirats to get ride of.

Its like Orion2, galciv2, homeworld and sots mixed into one game.

As soon, as the beta is released, we will know ALOT more

for me its this:
strategic depth
market strategy!
epic epicness
massive massivnivity
etc. etc.

betraying allies.........I'll keep that in mind when i play with u multi.

Anomalies are not essential, it's just something unique and interesting to add. I was just curious. Though I'm a bit ticked at the fact that I cant play Sins MP because of the scale.

Haha you better or you will never know what hit ya

Whats your specs?

But i dont think you should be worried

Here a quote from Blair

The actual requirements for the game are not yet set in stone so can't say much on that. The beta will certainly help narrow this down more accurately.

Here is what I can say:

Our accountant plays with an accountant machine which has a 2ghz cpu, 512 ram and some crappy integrated motherboard video card with no fancy features (certainly not pixel shader 2.0). It doesn't look anywhere near as nice as on my machine, but she can play the game just fine and infact, sometimes kick our butts

My comp is top of the line. It's just I have time constraints
Reply #12 Top
ooh , you got parrents that wont allow more then 30min?

It's mainly academic. I'm a junior which means SAT cram time. I also doubt i'll have more time when I'm in college (dont forget I also have to play atleast 4 hours of piano too ) No i dont have much time in my life for games, and yet i'm still considered a gamer among my friends

Match length depends on the settings, it can be anywhere from 30 mins to an hour or a full week match according to the developers. There will be various different default settings (on top of the extra player options) that will be used in the official ladders.

You can also save MP games so you could play with classmates that have more or less the same time as you and you can keep matches going for months

Hopefully there are anomolies, random events, artifacts, or something else. They really make the game more interesting and each one different (random events were pretty much SOTS's only good point   )

too many kids are caught up in either the extreme of sports and video games or the extreme of academics.

I am blessed with the synergy of love for academia. but cursed by the lack of academia in my town.

aha, I knew it.
you changed accounts. why would you do that? you preparing to get whooped in the multiplayer beta?
Dude, i swear to GOD I did not change accounts. I'm just using Watcher's laptop (it's around 3 years old so he just gave it to me for $200).

Just look at my previous clan sites and IP address. I'm usually on my vista comp

and why, again, would you use a crappy 3 year old laptop instead of a VISTA laptop?

well, i CANT RUN HALF OF MY GAMES ON VISTA -_-. I'll give you three examples. Rappelz (all of GPotato's game for that matter), Freelancer, and Unreal Tournament 2004.
