The High Tech Hippie Rides Again

I'm parked at the truck stop on top of the mountain in Monteagle, TN for the night. I made pretty decent time today. I was planning on making my first stop, in IL, tomorrow afternoon but when I called them this morning to make delivery arrangements the guy told me they only accept deliveries in the mornings. So I set it up for Thursday morning. That will still allow me time to make the WI delivery Thursday afternoon.

I had a pretty decent country dinner here. Catfish, coleslaw, green beans, cornbread, strawberry cobbler, and iced tea. It was tonight's special. Seven bucks.

After I had finished my dinner I was working on my laptop running the mileage numbers and driving hours for my trip. A couple of old guys walked by as I was doing this and I heard one of them say something about "...damn high tech hippies are everywhere these days...". That cracked me up. That's now gonna be my new CB handle; The High Tech Hippie.

I've started knitting another sock. This one is being done in a blue sport weight cotton yarn. The thinner yarn is a bit harder to work with as the stitches are a tad harder to see. I guess I'll have to break down, admit I'm getting old, and put on my friggin glasses.

I'm hoping I didn't eat any bad food or catch a bug or something. I'm suddenly not feeling very well the past couple of hours. I have a very upset stomach and am feeling a bit weird in the head. I'm kind of light headed, almost dizzy. I'm also extremely thirsty, probably dehydrated as a result of the upset stomach. I'm chugging Gatorade in an attempt to stay ahead of the dehydration.

Ah well, maybe it'll pass by morning.

Either way, the High Tech Hippie rides again!

Is ok, I used the same bad pun

I'm gonna have to either wear the glasses for this one or only knit in bright light. Sucks getting old.

Yeah, either that or they import their cooking water all the way from Mexico.

Ugh, couldn't even consider that right now. Hard enough keeping down Gatorade.

I agree, lightly sugared fluids like gatorade: the sugar's actively absorbed by the gut and the water follows by osmosis. Small amounts frequently. Gravol's useless. Only time I ever call into work sick is the first day of stomach flu. Wishing you well Mason; that's all I got.

Thanks. It was a rough night, but still here. I think it's going to be a long day.
