Anywho, As I have asked before, please post where you(schem) are getting this info. You see very definate about most of what is going on, my "genius" posts or what not are only made when I have info. All the posts I have been putting up that you have taken apart are guesstimated so they are easily very flawed. Like always, the beta will set some things straight.

So plz, cite your info, I would like to read what you have read, on this game. at that point, I will post ideas based more on fact then ideas based on what others have said and what little info I have gotten from the site itself.

which makesme bring up the point. there are three resources, credits crystal and metal, apparently now, ALL races use ALL three. this hardly hurts Market manipulation, but instead of dramatically affecting 1/3 people, you will only be applying pressure to everyone. it won't exactly detract from Market strategy, but it will significantly change it.

I think those three are the common ones, and that the other resources are more for research and the flag ships and such, you know the 'important' materials.

I haven't heard anything about other materials. but after stardock injected all sorts of changes, who knows.

And anyways we might be looking at this all wrong. Maybe this isnt about resources. Who says that you cant culture bomb a planet with your goods. "Commodities" could be anything. Vasari crystal jewelry, TECs help save humanity bomds, Advent brain washing devices ect.

That has not been confirmed. The only thing Yarlen has said, was that all races uses metal and crystals. Not that it was the only resources.

And in the "A Guided Tour of the Sins Beta!" it was said

See my theory is that we will have three basic resources(money, crystals, and metal) And each race will need more of one based on who they are. Advent ships will cost more crystals, Vasari ships will cost more metal, and TEC ships will cost more money.

yeah, thats what happens when I lower their IQ by 200something points... people find the "low IQ" versions more agreeable (yours is probably around 120 IQ points)

Now heres a lesson in IQ.

Even though it has Intelligence in its name, it does not necessarily define it. It mostly defines three things low congnative capacity, memorization skills, and knowledge priorly gained. It doesnt describe the persons Intellectual capacity, nor does it define its potential. I once knew a person with an IQ of 160 who was one of the worst students I have ever seen, its all about work ethic.

genius is classified as 130. ubergeniuses (einstein, newton) are the very highest at 180, very few people are beyond that.
