Vista compatable???

some of you might think this is a dumb question but with my experience with some games like dark messiah, will this game be compatable with vista??? (dark messiah works on vista but crashes like crazy, not to mention BF2142 which needs to be run on admin mode otherwise punkbuster will kick you like a mule)

No this isn't a dumb question. It is infact a very good question.

Not just with Sins, but interesting to know on even with GC2...

I think most games made in the last year will be patched to make sure they are Vista compliant. It all goes by the developer... Sins is out in August, by then it sure as heck better be Vista compliant, since Vista will be out 6 months...

Yes...as long as it runs as well on Vista as XP it's all good. Although Vista devs knew that dx9 wouldn't run as well from the get go with Vista...I suppose it isn't much of an issue for games of this graphical persuasion.

GC2 already works with vista..They have already had an update for that. Anyways, will the sins beta be vista compatible?

Who already bought vista?

and why in the blue hell would a computer gamer ever buy a brand new operating system? You have just lost the ability to play pretty much every game you own...

Vista doesn't even work with all of microsofts products yet!!!

Microsoft Visual Studio go a patch just a few days ago, and I woudn't say that it works well now...

I would be surprised if the beta for this game worked on vista...

My question would be more...will it be XP compatible...because i won't buy Vista for a long time (not until i buy a new computer in around 5-8 years)

Still got a LOT of older games i have to play first before i change to Vista...

Until then, i say Hasta la Vista, baby!

Because not all gamers are just gamers and some gamers are just computer enthausiasts. Like me. I bought Vista and what I didn't do is assume everything is going to work out of the box. This is the reason I'm running both Vista and XP.
Almost all of the games i've tried work perfectly on Vista, don't let the horror stories scare you.

Yes it isn't at the same preformance level as XP, but no most of your games will run without a problem. If you don't like tinkering with you game/systen/os than I wouldn't recommend Vista for another half/full year. If you do, than Vista has a ton of neat features.

As a whole the operating system and the UI is a bit more logical this time around. Most buttons and options are pretty much in the place you would expect them to be, this wasn't the case in XP. It seems to be a bit more configurable too.

Also the resolution dependant scaling is a definte plus for anybody who has a high resolution monitor. I.e. 24" or more, because almost all text now scales correctly with you selected resolution. 2560*1600 equals tiny, tiny letters in xp.

Sins will be XP and Vista compatible. However, performance on Vista really boils down to video card drivers, which are currently not good.
