Wow!
Two questions:

Where did you find that?

And will that be in the UK print of PC Gamer?

The thing is though, that issue will most likely be out in February, since mags always seem to put their issues out with the following month on the front, I think it is for printing reasons. Basically they start printing the March issue in February and get it out as soon as possible, which is normally February. It's confusing but in this case...potential good news!

He found it on the front page obviously

Ah, that might have something to do with the fact I have a bookmark for the forums and shoot straight here sometimes.

I have a subscription to PC Gamer and got my copy of the march issue last week. There is indeed a two page preview with some sweet pictures and a very positive preview to go with it. I'd post copies of the pictures but that would probably get me in trouble so I'll refrain. Overall a good article that just makes me anticipate the game that much more since I've already pre-ordered and now it's just a matter of time.

I'm sure there's no problem with posting some of the information found within the article, as long as it's not a 1:1 copy paste and doesn't get in too many details...

Pc gamer , Pc gamer UK or both?

because they are two seperate magazines reviewed by different editors and such.

PC Gamer US only. PC Gamer UK is a separate publication. The PC Gamer US March issue hits newsstands on 2/5/07 if it hasn't already.

One thing which I read in PC Gamer which I haven't seen before concerns pirates. It states that pirates could be considered the norm but if you tracked them down to their home base and took down their base you'll get "enough wealth to buy a fleet"

Awesome idea... please share some more info, you are not under an NDA or anything when you read a mag
Reply #20 Top
pirates have been mentioned, but tracking them down to their home base certainly hasnt...

MORE, MORE!!!

mmm me likes the idea of getting something for killing the pirates
Reply #23 Top
Does not getting raided anymore count as "something?"

but a similar boon is attributed to your opponents.

so the question here is "can killing hte pirates 1) be done with a net benefit rather than a net loss and 2) allow me to move more freely than it would provide my opponents"

I am going to think the answers are yes and yes!

hence its a win-win-win!
