A request.

Now I'd do this myself if I had the skills but I really really don't, I have a wallpaper I found and I was wondering if anyone would, if they like, make some widgets and stuff based around it like weather widgets, clocks, calendars and anything else you can think of. Now it's a Buffy the Vampire Slayer wallpaper so it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but if you're a Buffy fan and have some great skinning skills, it'd be really cool if you could do something with it, thanks in advance peoples.

I can make a logon screen for you if you'd like one. Email me: [email protected]
with what size you need and I'll send it to you.

Well logon screens I can do, thanks though (probably should of mentioned that) Widgets however is where I'm completely in the dark. Unless of course its really simple and requires no coding or anything

Raven: I have a wallpaper I found

There lies the big problem...unless you get permission from the wallpaper author - no one can use the graphics from it to make you anything - you cant distribute to others using graphics without permission - I'd make you a weather widget if you had permission.
Unless this falls under ' Fan art ' ?
Maybe Jafo can elaborate on this.

Needless to say. 'private' distribution is difficult to police.....it's public distribution via websites such as Wincustomize that need to be a bit more careful about what is hosted....or not.

Copyright, more often than not would see you requesting prior consent from the wall artist...but that is often also 'grey' if/when the wall artist may simply have outsourced images, etc, claiming fan-art himself....

Well I was more referring to the wallpapers colour scheme and the Buffy font (which can be found practically anywhere) cos its freeware.

Thats pretty easy to do then...I thought you wanted more from the wall.

I'd say that wall was fan art but it did have an " original wall by etc etc " on it.
I like to be sure on these things..
You know I've seen people send nasty threatening emails to others here for just using their walls in a screen shot or previews. You never know who's gonna have a hissy fit
