My JoeU family

I was thinking earlier that I reagrd some of you here at JoeU as almost family.  It made me wonder who would fill what familial role...here's what I came up with:

JillUser, Karmagirl,NickyG and Shadesofgrey:  Sisters.  I don't have any sisters, but the way you guys and I interact and talk...well, that's what I have always imagined sisterhood to be like.

Imajinit, Dan, Muggaz and Greywar - my brothers.  More specifically, MJ and Dan would be my younger brothers.  For some reason I feel the need to defend them when they're being attacked but at the same time tell them they're being  idiots (that applies more to Dan than MJ). Muggaz too.  I'd watch his more reckless behaviour thinking to myself "yeah, you'll learn"..but at the same time admiring his reslove to live his life by his own standards. Greywar would be my big brother.  Older (I think, if you're not then I apologize), wiser...a seasoned soldier and all-around good guy.  Someone who's opinion I respect enormously.

Mack, BlueDev and SuspeckTed: Cousins.  Close enough to be regarded as family, but distant enough to maintain a friendly perspective...if that makes sense.

Anne: My cousin.  I regard her in sort of the same way I see Muggaz, but not so extreme.

PoetMom and SheryeHanson: My aunts.  Slightly older, a little wiser...women who's advice I feel I can trust because they've 'been there, done that'.

Oh, and last but not least, Brad.....

..he'd be my godfather, of course!!

I didn't forget you, Mad.  I just don't know quite where to place you.  Not a brother, not a cousin...I haven't figured it out yet.

Oh, and Sir Peter would be my uncle.  My eccentric, wealthy uncle who has disowned the rest of us 'peasants' and refuses to publicly acknowledge us as kin.

I am honored with the position of sisterhood.  I do have a sister and you are very right on with how I percieve you, NickyG, shadesofgrey and, of course, KarmaGrl.

Thanks a lot sister dharma.

Awwwww...thanks, Dharma....you put me in good company, AND you only called me "slightly" older.....a good day all around!
And it's good to hear I can be helpful, too!!

Thanks dharmagrl. I will gladly accept the role of your JU cousin. And, yeah, it made sense to me.

I'm the strange neighbor down the street.

Very nice article dharma. Some of these folks do tend to grow on you, don't they?

Good to see some positive energy here.

wow--I made the family, I'm honored...and in complete agreement. I think of you as the wiser sister, the one who has the words of advice that I so desperately need and the ability to forsee what hasn't yet happened.

This article leaves me with a warm fuzzy feeling

MJ: Ewww! No, we can't!  Besides, I'm spoken for, and so are you.

Muggaz:  Stick with me kid, I'll learn ya well!

Shades: Aww, that gave me the warm fuzzies too!

Jill: I feel honored that you have accepted the position!

Sherye and Poetmom:  Thank you for your advice and wisdom...

Blue: I'm glad that you understood.  That just validates and reinforces what I had thought about you all along.

Wreckless and Mason:  I really didn't know where to place you, or I'd have included you.  Mason, you would fit well in the role of Uncle....Wreckless, I think you'd do well as the brother no-one talks about...the black sheep, so to speak.  After all, you are a shoppo thug.....!

Baa baa wreckless, can you help me out?
Yes ma-am, yes I can, and without a doubt.

*Thump* for the loser
*Whack* for the smug

..and *belt* for the ones who gripe,
coz I'm Dharma's shoppo thug!

(you know the tune)

I'm glad I've got good family here! I'm glad to see who made the sister list and would have to agree that we are in some good company.
Peace

Well, I see how it is. Even though, I'm like "the little kid" around here, I'm not anyone's brother, son, grandson? Nothing like that? Well then, see if I invite you to my birthday party!

Again, I didn't know quite where to put you.  You could be my nephew...you're too old to be my kids and sure as hell too old to be my grandson!!!

Well, I was thinking more along the lines of someone else's grandson. Then I could be like a secong cousin or something like that... Or maybe I could be a brother in law.

But then it wouldn't be MY (Dharma's) family, it would be someone esle's.  See where I'm coming from?

Holy hell, why didn't anyone tell me I was a cousin? Are we getting together for the 4th July or something then? I'll bring potato salad and bottle rockets...I hope that crazy uncle on the other side of the fam doesn't show up with his new trophy wife.
