Congratulations Ironclad! That must've been quite a pat on the back.

And yes, I am also curious about the Beta.

Congrats Ironclad. You guys deserve this, and many of the awards to come.

What's great to know is that the other top ten are not even RTS's. Definitely a good year to surprise the gaming public.

And suprisingly enough Spore was on all three lists....

Spore...... hmmm never heard of it... /Sarcasm

It may be quite a dissapointment. The evolution seems great, but the UFO part is (as was presented) totally weird. No fleets, wars, just one UFO wreaking havoc.

The ufo in spore i dont mind. But the real question, can your civilisation goto war, without any need help form the user?

My own, Most Anticipated of 2007 List:

1. Sins of a Solar Empire
2. Spore
3. S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
4. Pirates of the Burning Sea
5. Supreme Commander
6. Star Trek Online (even though its more likly to be out in 2008)
6. Crysis
7. Diablo III
8. Duke Nukem forever (haha)
9. Fallout 3 (please oh please)
10. Rocky Balboa

All are PC versions

so the game starts out good and gets progressively worse...
sounds good.

Congrats ironclad, that'll generate quite some free pr for the game, which will be much appreciated by the community (the bigger the better.)

3 Halo 2 for PC
4 Hellgate london

nice list

Added to my new "Keep an eye on this game" list

Disciples II: Dark Prophecy was one of best turn-based fantasy strategy games of last few years. It was released in 2002, around the same time such "monsters" of this subgenre like Heroes4, Age of Wonders 2 and Etherlords were released.

Bwhahahaha, where are they getting these lies from? noone liked disciples, the game sucked and was vastly outclassed by Heroes 4 AoW2 and etherlords.

Heart of Empire: Rome seems like fun,

Sins of the Solar Empire Epic 4X space empire building strategy with mix of Homeworld-like combat, made by ex members of Barkin dog

excuse me, what game???

Galactic Civilizations 2: Dark Avatar Add-on to 9.0 game

wohoo

Celtic Kings2 Finally in 3D, previous games in the series wer both AAs

erm...you mean the one they released in 2004?? If celtic kings 3 is meant, that is nothing but an upsuported rumour

Mount and Blade Indie RPG with revolutionary combat system(realistic swordplay, archery, mounted combat, total ownage)
http://www.taleworlds.com/mb_download.html

Sounds like Die by the Sword, which ruled

My new watchlist includes:

Penumbra, Enosta, armed assault (New flashpoint? figners crossed)
ET quake wars, They hunger (woot zombies), left 4 dead (woot more zombies) all seem like nice games for next year.

BattlestarGalactica: Beyond the Red Line sounds like it'll be fun, but probably not surpasing the REAL FS2. more free stuff in Starsiege 2845. (Go starsiege)

Er, ok, since everyone else is doing it, my top 6.

Sins/GC2 DA (joint 1st)
Supreme Commander
Spore (If it'll run on my PC)
Crackdown
Mass Effect
Halo 3

Basically I will definitely be getting these games at some point.

REAL FS2

Man that game rocked, I still play it even now with the SCP enhancements and remain ever optimistic for a Freespace 3.

i think he meant hw:cataclysm made by barking dog! but wasn't the makers of sots had previews experience also with homeworld game? or was that sins? sometimes i get the 2mixed up but game wise the huge difference is no doubt different from each

I think SOTS and SINS both have ex-homeworld staff...

3 Supreme commander (if it doesnt boil down to shit, AND if it runs on my PC)

There are plenty of good omens for this game, PC Gamer gave it 91%, I like to form my own opinions on games, but that is encouraging.

Plus most of the gameplay I've seen so far is awesome, if its fun to watch, it should be fun to play.

The only thing I find a bit iffy is that as soon as your Commander is dead its game over, that seems a bit of a spoil to me. You can have brobdingnagian battles going on and then your commander is killed, it seems like an anticlimax to me.

That and it may cause my computer to melt through the floor.

Thats only when you play the assassination mode.
You can choose between different playing, like: supremacy, where you have to kill all his builders, or total annihilation, where every last building as to die before he losses

Oh cool, never mind then!
