A few questions and concerns about Vista.

I just ordered my free upgrade to Windows Vista Premium through Dell (I have an XPS 2010) and the only concern I have with installing Vista is software compatability. Now, I'm a big PC gamer and I want my currents games that work just fine on XP to work on Vista. Is this something I need to be worried about?

Also, I use programs like Soulseek, et al. Should I worry about non-gaming software compatability as well?

Vista may have issues in some areas but I don't believe that backwards compatibility is one of them. Drivers issues would sem to be a larger concern for early adopters. Just my opinion though.

Thanks!

And for those of you that had the same question as me, I did some searching on the web and found this: http://www.iexbeta.com/wiki/index.php/Windows_Vista_Software_Compatibility_List#Heavy_problems.2C_currently_incompatible

It's an up to date list of all software that is known to work AND not work with Vista. It's a wiki, so it's updated constantly.
