Getting A Lazy Start Today

I'm just North of Indianapolis. I stopped here yesterday afternoon to fuel up, shower, and visit the little bar next door to unwind a bit. I had a pretty good time at the bar. I haven't been here in a few weeks, but the bartender recognized me and he seemed genuinely happy to see me. I was the only customer for a little while so we had a chance to shoot the shit for a bit before things started getting busy. There were a number of drivers there as well as the usual assortment of locals. I had a good conversation with a driver from South Texas.
I unwound a bit more than I had planned and slept in this morning. The extra sleep was nice and I feel well rested this morning. I'm taking my time enjoying my coffee and just being lazy before starting out on the final leg to WI. I'll stop and drop off the truck on the back as I have already gotten the ok to drop it off without a signature. I'll drop the trailer with the skid steer still on the top deck at the yard. Monday they can move it to the lower deck and the local driver can deliver it in Milwaukee.
Once at the yard I'll have some time to kill. I seriously need to do some housekeeping in my truck and will do so while I am there. It always amazes me how quickly the truck can get messy, but it never takes very long to put it right again. I'm a slob, what can I say? I haven't even made the bed yet. My sheets are still packed in my duffle bag with the rest of my clean laundry. I'll get it all unpacked and put away during my house cleaning.
I should have a few hours to spend knitting as well. As I had imbibed a bit too much last night I left the knitting alone and just watched a movie. As a good friend advised me recently, "Friends don't let friends knit drunk".
Good advice.
Ah well, time to get myself ready for the road. I still have about 6 hours of driving to get out of the way.
