Pick a deadly sin.....
Gluttony or vanity......

One of my non-goals this year is to once again lose the 15 lbs that stands between me and well, a healthier trimmer person. I'd like to have my body fat lower and my strength up. I'd love to get rid of the last of baby chub (just in case I decide to do this baby thing again, I can start with a clean slate) and I'd love to have a flat tummy and nipped in waistline....it makes shopping for jeans so much better.
Right now, according to the measurements on several online stores, my hips are a 6 and my waist is anywhere between a 10 and a 14. That makes shopping a pain in the neck. I never know what to buy...baggy jeans that are just right on top, or fitted jeans with a baggy shirt to hide the inevitable "muffin top"?
So I am eating healthier, more snacks (good for me kind), more water etc. I'm focusing on getting my cardio by swimming a mile 2 or 3 times a week in addition to the 5 classes I teach. I'm considering getting a trainer to get me jump started on weights and to evaluate my swimming form. I'll work on my own and just check in occasionally.
The problem is the yummy sounding food that surrounds me. And some times the food sounds better than healthy, fit body at 60. Especially today. i saw the recipe for Triple Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies. mmmmmmmmm, yummmmmy.
The debate begins: But the cranberries make it healthy! And the oatmeal is chock full of fiber and other healthy stuff. OH NO! Don't' go that way! They are Chocolate! Beware! BEEEEWWWWAAAAARRRRREEEE!!! ....but the oatmeal and cranberries......
The picture doesn't lie though. Anything that sounds this good and looks like this....CAN'T be good for me.

Remind myself of what my goal is.....
