It's going to one of those days

Today is a very grumpy day! It's completely miserable weather all grey and threatening to rain any minute and today I'm feeling as bad as the weather. Last night my parents, 16 year old sister and her boyfriend and my mum's brother who's staying with them came over for dinner - and while it wasn't a very late night - they left around 9:30pm - it took alot out of me. We woke Elana up after they left and she happily drank about 150mls of her bottle and she was put back to bed - it took about 10 minutes for her to settle down and drift back to sleep. We went to bed and about 11:30pm or so she woke up - we didn't get up - but I don't know what time she stopped playing with her toes and babbling to herself. Nick's alarm woke all of us up this morning at 6am and she was unusually grumpy. (me I was the same amount of grumpiness I hate being woken up)
So she had some of her bottle - about 80mls - and went down onto the mat to talk to her fish and practice her wiggling - I went to have a shower and I came back a few minutes later and she was facing in the opposite direction. So that was fine - Nick went off to work around 8am and I put Elana in her bed to catch up on all that lost sleep - it took about 15minutes of crying screaming and whimpering to calm her down and then I went to lie of the couch to finish watching "Sunrise" (for those out of aus - it's a morning new program like nbc today or good morning america)
but I fell asleep - which wasn't a bad thing because I woke up with a tummy ache and stuffy nose/ears/head.
Then like 10 minutes later the phone rings - I decide to let it ring out - so it does - and then the person on the other end decides to call back - not happy jan - especially since it woke Elana up and she just wouldn't go back to sleep after that.
So I'm like a bear with a sore head today.
I really don't feel like playing house today - I want to get into bed with a tub of mango icecream, a packet of tim tams and a few really soppy love story chck flicks
Then I want to be free to just turn it all off (phone, tv, radio, doorbell) - fall asleep and know I'll not be disturbed
Yeah I'm grumpy!
and happy babies who just want to play and not eat or not sleep but not on their mat because they want to be held and cant be left alone by grumpy mummies don't help!
Actually it's not as bad as all that. I think I should just wash my face make some toast and coffee and I'll feel a little better. I think the main problem is that it's only 10am I've been awake for four hours and there's still so many hours left in the day. Nick won't be home until after 5pm.
*sigh* It's just going to be one of those days.
Yesterday was good though - Elana had about 150ml's of her 2:30pm bottle - Tegan was here between work & uni and she being the bestest friend in creation brought over McDonalds - which I hadn't had in about 3 months.
We had coffee, some of Nick's fabulous biscotti and a long chat about stuff - It was really great.
Then she left about quarter to 5pm and Nick walked in the door not 10minutes later. Then the really fantastic thing happened - Elana drank all 200ml's of her bottle at 5:30pm which was just so great and she wasn't too grumpy when she went to bed about half an hour later. Then my family came over and that was good - Nick made a fabulous Italian feast (a selection of antipasto) and then after we watched Haish & Andy then Merrick & Rosso - which was the perfect end to a pretty good day.
But today I need a sleep
