AI Exploit Thread

I thought maybe it would be a good idea to start a special thread for players to start listing specific exploits that work agoint the various AIs?

That way, since the developers seem to be planning to update the AI as part of their continued development of the game, they would have a consolidated source of ideas of AI related things that most need improving.

I don't know if it will help or not, but I thought it was worth a try. :)

I don't think the AIs will be easy to exploit. Brad has discussed this from time to time and has stated that each of the major races has its own AI (and one for the minor races), each with its own personality and set of strategy scripts. Each time you play the game you will be seeing something different from the AI.

However, there is a GC Strategies discussion group. This might be a more useful place to get ideas on how to play Galciv.

I read that too. :)

Call me a cynic, but I find it hard to believe no matter how great a job they did on the AI that people will not eventually find consistent exploits. I would be VERY happy to be proven wrong on this however, as the quality of the AI ultimately makes or breaks any single player strategy game.

When I say "consistent", I mean that technique X consistently produces Y advantage against one specific race (or less likely given the seperate AIs against more than one race).

As far as i know the only way to view it is via the Stardock Central application. It is free and work pretty good. Both forum routes need sticky threads so the staff can post responces to such questions. As this is the second time I had to go search for the not so easy to find page. Anyhow here it is.
