Winxp SP2 not able to use logon screens

Good day I have changed how users login to use the welcome screen. I have checkecd using regedit that uihost points to C:\windows\system 32\logonui.exe and that the file exists. One of the error messages that I receive is that the Driver is corrupt. I have tried to reinstall/repair. completely remove and then reinstall logonStudios.

When I click apply on one of the 3 default logins it says the computer is locked as if using the classic logon. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

enable 'welcome' & 'fast user switching'

if you are on a domain, Logon Studio won't work.

there's also something about offline files, but I can't find it.

Thank you Bichur. I have added some more information as to what I have tried. I have enabled use welcome screen and fast user switching. I have a single desktop at home no network. No domain. I am not really sure if the issue is with Boot Skin or Logon Studio. I have to make a change to my previous post. The error is installation corrupt- no driver. That error was from Boot Skin. Do you have any suggestions. Again Thank you

One of the error messages that I receive is that the install is corrupt no driver(boot skin). I have tried to reinstall/repair. completely remove and then reinstall logonStudios. I have finaly got to a point where I can see the welcome screen but unfortunately I had to use the file on the disk that came with the book called "Welcome_Undo" and have Logon Studio and Boot Skin uninstalled. Every time I try to use the bootskin app it goes to what looks like the classic logon screen where you have to type in your user name and password. I get the error on boot skin but logon studio doesn't work either.

When I click apply on one of the 3 default logins it says the computer is locked as if using the classic logon.

make sure both bootskin and logon studio are uninstalled (set to windows default first) reboot, make everything is working normally.

enabale the users and you should get the default windows 'click your picture to begin' logon.

if all's well, install logon studio, pick on the the logons that come with it, try fast user switching (windowskey+L) and see if it's working.

if all's well, give bootskin some more thought... I've tried all 3 versions - none of the work for me = it depends on your BIOS == I don't get a blue screen, error, anything - just default bootskin each time.

i too couldn't get bootskin(tried all versions & always got BSOD on restart saying error with driver vidstub) to work on my computer but after i installed a bootskin changer software i noticed that now i can use bootskin correctly.it add some lines in my default boot.ini & now i don't even have to install it anymore.i just copied my changed boot.ini & whenever i have to reinstall xp i simply copy this to original boot.ini & bootskin works perfectly.

Can you maybe please show your boot.ini file somewhere?

Do you get just a static bootscreen or dows it have the animated progress bar included?
