Good Morning JU

I had a pretty decent time at the hotel lounge last night, returned to my room to relax, and got a good night's sleep in a king size bed. I awoke very early, looked at the clock, rolled over, and went back to sleep for a while longer.

I finally dragged myself out of bed and got myself ready to hit the road again. Socrates was patiently sitting on the driver's seat waiting for me to come back to the truck. He knows the routine and knew it was getting about time for me to show up. I spent a few minutes assuring him that I had not abandoned him while the truck was warming up, and pulled out of the hotel parking lot. Socrates is quite used to being alone in the truck for varying lengths of time but still likes to milk it for a little extra attention.

I pulled into the truckstop a few miles up the road to have some much needed coffee, breakfast, and to catch up my log book before heading on into Alabama. It should be a nice relaxing Saturday ride today as I am in no hurry. At some point either today or tomorrow I'll find a place to do my laundry as I have the extra time available this weekend. It's a must do on this weekend's to do list.

I also need to find a place that sells money orders today as I need to mail one home to cover my lot rent. Hopefully I'll find a Road Ranger fuel stop along my way as I know they sell them. You'd be surprised at how hard it can be to find a money order these days, especially at a place you can get into with a big rig.

Ah well, it's a nice sunny day, perfect for driving, and I'll make the best of it. I hope all of JU enjoys a nice Saturday.

Sounds like a good plan for the day. Happy natal anniversary to your son.

Half the cats decided it was too cold last night, and spent the night inside. We had a four cat night.

At least they're smart enough to come in out of the cold.

Because it upsets him. The truck is his home and he doesn't like getting out of it. Even when we go home he gets upset over being out of the truck until he realizes we're at a familiar place again (home).

I've tried taking him into hotels before and he just doesn't seem to like the unfamiliar places.
