Fried.....Coke?

I couldn't believe it when I read it on a recent news article on line from Yahoo News and Reuters. Fried coke made it's debut at at the State Fair of Texas recently. It was very popular too because in 24 days the guy who created it sold 35, 000 cups of fried coke for $4.50 each!
Wow! I'm sure it tasted good otherwise it wouldn't be so popular! My kids all said they would like to try it. I"m curious about it too. But I do wonder what the caloric content is, it must be through the roof!
As the title of the artilce says "Because We Don't Already Have Enought Fried Food" - I couldn't agree more!

Oh yeah, and for the next Fair he's going to concoct fried sprite and even a diet version! Now other people are trying to copy him too. He doesn't intend to patent the mixture. Hmmm I wonder if that's wise? You bet someone else will do it for him! "
