Gamespot's write up bothered me...

Homeworld was all about tactical battles, and you'll be able to see similar battles unfold in Sins of a Solar Empire, though you won't be able to exercise the same amount of tactical control as you could in Homeworld.

Please affirm my opinion that the gamespot staff are once again entirely and extremely off base. i really hate watching the pc play all of my battles.

as far as I see it its just about drawing lines, its not like you have to draw lines to *all* ships in range, just 1 (highest priority target) from each cone, that way it doesnt get overwhelming

but I'm no programming major either.

maybe i'm wrong but, i think i heard from the old forum about how you can have the options to fully put micro on your disposal such as managing one of the most important battle or any battle for that matter or you can let the AI handle those scenarios and concentrate on important things like protecting a key planet and focusing on building and upgrading warship units.

but like i said i may be wrong for saying it, so pls don't ask for a link. if it smells like a duck, walk like a duck, talks like a duck then it must be homeworld! :_)

I also think this was how it was described. And if it is, I love it. Sometimes I love to just sit and watch the drama, than intervene when my divine hand is needed.

Like in TW series I play without the use of pause because the AI has no chances at all when all your moves are perfect and without flaws. But I have nothing against people who do use it.

I know this is going back the the OP and i hate to break a beautiful conversation, but i just wanted to say a quick hello, just found this game thanks to a less than enthusiastic gamespy review... which of course means the games gonna rock, just wanted to say a quick hi all.
