I had my 4D sonogram today. It was so fun!

Sucker that I am, I ended up buying the biggest package, but now I have a DVD of the session to send to my husband.

She is such a pretty baby! She definitely has her daddy's full lips!

It is 100% confirmed that she IS a girl. Up close and personal. Hehe.

She was so funny during the session. She's all scrunched up in there, with her head down in position and her feet curled up over her head.

She smiled, put her thumb in her mouth, and played with her feet. She kept grabbing her feet and holding them. It was precious.

She's nice and chubby and healthy. I could even see the dimples in her little hands. The boys were mesmerized.

Ohhhhhhhhh....she's gorgeous! I can't get over the pics, how wonderful is this new technology uh?! This came about after I was pregnant with Amanda, or just after I was over with my pregnancy! Impressive! I'm so excited for you Tex!

Thanks, everyone! I was really pleased with how they turned out. It's incredible the technology we have now.

One thing I learned today is that it's really common for babies to have those big, puffy lips in utero and that it sometimes goes away after birth, so we'll have to see whether or not she gets to keep them, LOL.

It sure is! Great pics! I remember the ones we had looked like weather radar shots or a seismograph or something and I would stand there faking that I understood the pictures when they really looked like gibberish to me.

Hahahaha. I'm sure you're not the only one!

My mom had one u/s done with my brother and I swear, he looks just like a chalk outline of a peanut. There's nothing distinctive about the picture.

The woman doing my sonogram was impressed that *I* was impressed. She said they get a lot of young girls in there who complain and ask, "Is that as clear as the picture is going to get?"

Incredible.

I mean, we're looking INSIDE the womb and seeing the baby's FEATURES. How is that not amazing?

Hmmm...maybe I'll call up my mom and sweet-talk her out of some cash    It would cost us about $1000 considering we'll have to drive out of state to get it done, stay overnight, then drive back. But it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

I got the largest package and it was less than $200. So, nope, totally not rich. Hehe.

It would cost us about $1000 considering we'll have to drive out of state to get it done, stay overnight, then drive back. But it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.


Ouch! I thought it was definitely worth the price for us, but I don't know if I'd have spent a grand on it. It IS pretty special though!
