New diplomacy options?

I've heard that Dark Avatar is going to include diplomacy features. Unfortunately, I don't recall ever hearing about what these would be. Could anyone here give some details?

none have been given, only improved diplomacy

I would like to see a "get your $#$@! cursed ships out of my space!" diplomacy option. Also, a "surrender or die" option might be good.

Diplomatic Treaties. Players will be able to establish research and economic treaties with alien civilizations. In this way, they have other sources of money and research and have more tools to influence diplomatic relations.

Thanks TOV.

While I would like to have the ability to coerce opponents or demand a surrender unless x-condition is met (as Den of Earth and others have suggested), I can't complain about having new econ treaties. Any new diplomatic options are a gain, as long as the AI can do a good job making use of them.

Yeah thats one of the areas I was disapointed in, mainly because I had thought that the AI was treated as just another human player (and vice versa)in terms of abilities and options.

I would like to have the ability to outline for the AI pretexts for war -- i.e., as people have said, "please remove your ships/starbases immediately." I'd also like monthly tribute.

I always have the AI saying "move your starbase" or "so and so is a threat"
I hope that we get to do that in the expansion pack

Hey, I have NOT tried this yet.
If you have a powerful fleet (including transports)in route to an neutral AI planet (no war, YET)and attempt a "trade" for that planet ... do they bite ????

Isn't that already in? You demand X BC per turn for Y turns. Don't think its a permanent option though.

Money over time was removed in GC2. You can only get single payments, unlike in GC1 (the AI was rather poor at determining the actual value, or lack thereof, in such arrangements).
