Creating a DateTime Stamp Shell ext or hotkey

Does anyone know of a program, plug-in, or method of putting a DateTime stamp link in the shell or possibly map it to a hotkey? I'm not very programming inclined or else I would make my own.

I'll settle for something basic, but it would be nice if the format is customizable.
i.e. When naming a file if I want the DT stamp in the actual filename I could just hit the assigned hotkey and it would automatically enter 09222006-145530 (MMDDYYYY-HHMMSS)
