Exit, stage left.

unemployed for a few days...

I quit my job today, and it felt pretty good.

I handed my headset and security badges over to my supervisor and she said 'no!' and I said 'yes', and not soon after, it was over. After saying good bye to some friends, I got a coffee and thought how good it was to be unemployed- at least until Monday, that is.

My new job is going to be a sink-or-swimmer, and believe me, I'm doing practice laps already. I need to review/study/cram Aboriginal Theatre 101, so I can remember who's who. I also need to get on the horn and thank some people for their kind words. There's no lack of motivation from a good group of people who helped just by saying a few nice things about what I've done in the past.

Like I wrote before, this job is comprised of peak rush hour madness for several weeks on end, followed by time off and boredom, and again a life of cramming everything in together and flying by the seat of my pants. Or so my new boss made it out to be. The hours are going to be crazy, but production crazy. It's definitely not the same scheduling nightmare that I've been used to for the past 2+ years.

This job is a dream and I hope everything is going to work out.

Here's something: I'm looking forward to work, for a change.

VERY EXCITING. I'm thrilled for you! I can't wait to hear all about your theatre adventures. There was a long time in which I thought Stage Managing would be my dream job--of course, not my dream pay though!!

As Shovel said, "Break a Leg."

Congratulations, both on following your dream and not being afraid to fire your boss when it was time to move on!

Too many people let dreams die, or stay in jobs they hate, simply because they don't dare to what you just did!!

Way To Be!!!
