Dell, You are Freaking me out!

I like Dell.  I really do.  Good cheap, and when you order they notify you every step of the way.  So you know exactly where the order is.  Their estimated ship date is a joke, as they always ship at least a week early!  But having ordered umpteen systems from them, I have learned that.  But they always notify you when the system ships so you know when it is going to arrive (they use UPS, so it is easy to track).

Until now.  No notification that it has shipped (they email you), yet I get home and find a UPS sticker on the door.  It seems UPS says they picked them up last friday, and yet my order status says they are shipping today! (They ship from Tennessee for desktops, so no reason to pay for fast shipping).

I just checked UPS and Dell.  Dell says today, UPS says second attempt tomorrow!

Uh, Dell.  Your system may be suffering from the latest MS patch bug!  It is buggy!

Oh well, sick time tomorrow afternoon!  I know the UPS driver, so I think I can catch him tomorrow.  Good guy.  I will have to make sure he gets a bonus when he starts delivering my Vista Components.

Nah, I will tell the boss.  besides, I am doing OT next wednesday, so it is a trade off.  SG is flexible like that.

I understand that as I work as well but why buy Vista at the high prices they have when XP works great? And yes you know Vista will be chock full of bugs...

I will have to support it, so might as well use it. I am not going to get rid of my XP machine, at least not until SP1 for Vista.
