Microsoft Research builds Browsershield

Well it sounds interesting. How it will really perform is the big question.

"Researchers at the Redmond, Wash., company have completed work on a prototype framework called BrowserShield that promises to allow IE to intercept and remove, on the fly, malicious code hidden on Web pages, instead showing users safe equivalents of those pages."

Build a better mousetrap, and smarter mice will soon come forward.  It will be interesting to see.  But I dont think it will be effective in the long run.
