I just got home Saturday and have to leave back out in the morning to go deliver this load at the port near Ft Lauderdale. I don't wanna. I've gotten used to being home for a week at a time and it just feels like it's too soon to have to think about going back out there.
I know I'll be coming right back home when I get finished tomorrow, but still it just doesn't feel right. I guess I've gotten spoiled. It's too soon to be having to think about getting up early in the morning, or having to fill out a log book, or dealing with the crazy port security we have these days, or having to fight the traffic to get someplace. I enjoy my work, but I also enjoy my time off.
I know, most people only get two days off each week and then have to get back to work. I work for three weeks and then take a week off. Not too bad really, and I shouldn't complain when I have to break it up like this once in a while. After all, how many jobs allow one to take what amounts to 10-12 weeks of vacation every year?
