Getting Old...Or Lazy

Maybe living in a retirement community is rubbing off on me. We don't have trash pick up here and all of our trash goes to the dumpster to be picked up. The dumpster is on A Street and I live on D Street so it's a little bit of a walk to carry the trash to it. Until now I would either hop on my bike and carry the trash bag in one hand while I rode to the dumpster or simply walk it to the dumpster depending on how much there was to carry.

Many of the elderly folks living here use these wheeled baskets to roll their trash to the dumpster. While at the grocery yesterday I noticed that they sell these baskets there for about 20 bucks. I guess I'm getting lazy because I went ahead and bought one. Now I can wheel my trash to the dumpster like the old folks do.

Maybe I'm getting old, maybe I'm just getting lazy.

When you start playing Shuffleboard, THEN you are getting old!  Right now, you are just being prudent!  Like when I bought the chain saw!  Prudent!

On pick up day my Husband puts the trash bags in the trunk of the car & drives it out to the curb. It's easier - especially in the winter.
I tell him his car is the garbage wagon.

Yes you are getting older, but with age, we trade youth for wisdom.
Buying the basket with wheels illustrates just that very thing.
