You can not do a kindness too soon, for you never know how soon it will be too late.

I love this quote. It is one of my favorites!!
Just like any great quote, it just made a wonderful impression on me. I read it every day. I have a copy at home and at work! I need a little extra inspiration sometimes.... Don't we all?
This world would be a better place if everyone would go the " extra mile " everyday. So many people give to charities because they feel they have to or they do it because it will benefit them in some way. Like: Tax breaks, free advertising for companies, I could go on.... It's the worst around Christmas time. They give " all they can" during the holiday season, but you see them the rest of the year crossing the street to avoid the very same people they helped serve a Christmas meal too!
:::::Stepping Down from Soap Box ::::::::: (again)
Oops, I didn't mean to grab the box.... *grin*
ANYWAY!! I love Ralph's work. He was a thoughtful man. I hope you got something from it like I did.
I volunteered for Special Olympics for a couple of years (until hubby did military) My soul sister's brother is a member of the Special Olympics team in NM. I enjoyed every minute of it! They are a very special group of people. For them, friendship and love are unconditional, that was my reward. I miss them!
