Microsoft invites Mozilla developers to Vista lab

While I might question their motives, it is nice to see Microsoft doing something helpful in regards to Firefox and Thunderbird.

"The head of Microsoft's open source lab is inviting Mozilla developers up to Redmond for some help in making sure Firefox and Thunderbird run on Windows Vista. The offer is part of a weekly lab Microsoft is holding for developers in order to reduce application compatibility problems.

With Windows Vista nearing its first release candidate, application compatibility has taken center stage. If customers' applications don't seamlessly work with the new operating system, many will hold off on upgrading. In turn, Microsoft has begun to seek out bigger developers and work with them directly."

We're going to see the Mozilla developers march out of Redmond with glazed eyes chanting "We love IE...we love IE...we love IE..."

I don't know about that...let's just hope they're able to see well enough through those 'glazed eyes' to come up with suitably impressive interfaces for their Vista compliant apps....something admirably in keeping with the Vista look. As it is I have Firefox and Thunderbird running on Vista beta 2 just fine, but things could change some with the final release and it's good to see MS is inviting Mozilla and other developers in to ensure their apps work with the new OS

Funny isn't it...over there in Europe somewhere, there's a bunch of twerps complaining that MS is monopolistic and too secretive about their software/codes and etc, yet here they are being transparent enough to invite third party developers into their playground to show off their big boys toys.

Yep, I hope those EU people are so green with envy that they're mistaken for ET's and have weird experiments conducted on 'em....you know, anal probes and the like.
