Rookies, Beer, and Nice Asses

I stopped this afternoon in Lebanon, IN. It's one of my favorite stopping points. I had a few beers and a good meal.
One of the guys I spent some time in conversation with is a rookie who's been driving all of 6 months. Good kid, but still naive about the lifestyle of trucking. We had some pretty good conversation as he's one of the few who is actually interested in learning a little from those who have been there and done that.
I had a pretty good time tonight, shooting pool with some fellow drivers as well as some local people. I also spent a little time dancing with a few of the local gals, as best as I can anyway what with my bum hip and all.
There were several not unattractive young ladies there tonight and I managed to have a not less than a good time with them. Somehow I had a good time, spent some quality time with several of the local debutantes, and still got out of there without losing any skin off my knuckles.
What a deal.
There's nothing quite like getting drunk and stupid with the locals. Especially if you can manage to make the young and dumb guys stay back in the process. Must be the tattoos and the generally 'David Allen Coe' attitude.
