Has Hollywood disgraced marriage?

What are your thoughts JU? Has Hollywood desgraced the level of commitment that marriage is supposed to represent? Majority of Celebs have been married more than once. Does Hollywood give us the dellusion of 'happy ever after?' Please share your thoughts

Okay I'll start off. I think they are the ultimate black eye to marriage. They have made 'adultery' appealing by using emotional empathy. Not a single couple that have a happy marriage have ever said this 'happy ever after' is true for them. They all say it takes alot of work and time.

I guess it is the same as their politics.  If you are going to look to hollywood for political, or in this case moral, guidance, you have a problem already.

I agree. But do you see their failure of commitment having an influence upon those who revel in the latest gossip seeking justification for their own lack of commitment?

Buddah, so your point is more of which came first the chicken or the egg?

You know the whole issue of "Well so and so did it?" I am just wondering if others thought that the lack of commitment in the entertainment world has influence to it's followers. Have people elevated these people above others? As I roam through the check out of the grocery stores I and what I see is the glorification of dirt on celebs. What kind of effect does that have on it's loyal readers
