Do you delete responses?

I have yet to delete any responses to my articles/questions? I'm open to everyone's comments even if I don't agree with them and even if they are harsh.

So, have you deleted any reponses and if so where did you draw the line?

I see very few reasons to delete responses. However, on one of my articles, someone posted a response, in Spanish, about baseball. I wrote an article about softball, but this definitely wasn't that one. So I deleted it after translating it, though I knew enough Spanish to know that it was completely unrelated.

Only two occasions warrent deleting a post.

The first is spam from spambots.

The second is screens-worth of repetitive lines of off-topic declarations meant only to harass the maintainer of the blog and / or those commenting on it.

Otherwise, allow 'problem' users to be dealt with by moderators. Those users will leave behind a record of reasons for their dismissal from the JU site.

Darn double post.

Only random spam-bot responses, and once where I specifically requested a certain topic not be discussed further, with warning I would delete responses along those lines. Then someone just had to see if I really would.

Never had to so far. I'm still trying to get more responses to my articles LOL!

Yep. But not because of disagreement.

I delete whole blogs...

Yours or other people's?

Oh, just for the record I have deleted some SPAM from one of my articles.

I have in a moment of anger, don't think I would do that again though. Sometimes it's best for me to just leave it, then come back to it and then choose.

Would delete something if it offended me enough.
