Any word on a "deluxe" edition?

I recently sold off Civ 4 and looked towards GalCiv2 as a replacement, when I found out the Dark Avatar expansion is on the horizon. Looking over the planned features, they look to add features I can't imagine playing without, so I'd prefer to jump in from there.

I see that a CD version is available through the mail, but there's no mention of a deluxe version. $45 for GC2 + $30 (-5 if preordered) for DA + 2 S&H charges for the CD's is a bit much...normally deluxe versions go for $50-60 with disks, and that's with the retailers cut and whatever they pay for copy protection royalties.

I wouldn't expect a deluxe edition since GC2 has a manufactured retail box and DA will not. But they might cut the price of GC2 on TGN or something after DA is released to achieve a similar effect. You'd have to contact [email protected] to find out if they intend to do anything like that.

There are no plans for that this year, sorry.

Ah, guess I'll have to wait then. Just as well, it's not like I have a shortage of expenses this time of year. :-\

You could scrap shipping and handling if you don't *need* a CD...

I had no problems getting my game through SDC.
