Man, there's conflict everywhere you get a lot of people together. Especially in an environment that is all about opinions. Sometimes things break down and end up looking like a bunch of dramatic teenagers. Oh well, it won't affect my blog! (I hope)

You don't have to read it you know. I don't remember flames being featured on the front page; you're only likely to see them if you look at the forums.

Anyway it's all perfectly natural. Maturity is something you consistently find only in people who are a) boring and dead.

You're right. I won't! It just seems that it's pathetic that it's the only thing going on here. It's like the news. Good news is not news.

What's truly pathetic is that you would spend so much time studying what you claim to be pathetic.

So what am I to form my opinons on if I don't study the issues? Studying to understand is pathetic?

The only thing I have a problem with about it all is that the fights used to be about issues. That is understandable. Now it is just all out fucking wars between people who hate each other.

I am all for a good fight if it has a point. I stopped reading the "your a bitch" "no your a bitch" threads though.

The worst fights always seem to center around the same few people, and they're almost always extremely petty and their beginnings hard to determine.  Everyone acts like they're the victim or target in the fights and tries to play up how they're the more mature/better one.  In the end though it's all a bunch of adults acting like petulant teenagers.

One of the selling points of JU over other blogging sites was the whole community atmosphere.  And there was a point where the community was larger and more diverse, but a lot of people have been driven off over time, part due to their own inability to handle taunting well, and part because this site has become fairly unfriendly/negative and for many it's becoming rather not-fun to blog here.

But every day the number of bloggers dwindles.  Every day JU loses more of what made it better than blogger or LiveJournal.
