Is it worth it?

There are many customization tools from Stardock, but this kind of customization doesn't come small, infact, if you would have the entire dektop suite, you would be looking at total file size, larger than many of todays games. Not all of us have 300GB HDs and so-on, i only have an 80, and my stupid cpu make has a locked part of my HD of around 20GB with system defaults, infact, my compaq had 4GB worth of HP software which I removed. I don't have much on my computer, and i have around 45GB free space, but im cautious of lots of files. My old comp. had 30GB free space, and it was mega slow. So what i'm getting at, is that some people (namely me) can't enjoy the whole suite, without waiting hours for it to load up.

I have the whole suite. I have all 18 components of ObectDesktop, WC Browser and Tray, ObjectDock, and three games from TotalGaming, along with all the other stuff I have on my PC, like adobe photoshop, Image Ready, after effects, Office, my media stuff, Macromedia stuff, virus programs, spyware, adware, etc. I only have a 40GB HD, 7GB are set aside and still have 51% of it left. And it didn't take me hours to DL the Stradock stuff. Am I missing something?

I'm confused also. I use the entire OD suite on my laptop and have plenty of room left, and that's with XP and Office also loaded. Instead of complaining about StarDock, which allows one to install just what they want, why aren't you dumping that 20 gig taking up room and using it for something useful. If it was me, I'd be dumping that 20 gig to DVD and then reclaiming all that space. Course, that's just me, what do I know?

Hey hardknocklife, not sure what info you are basing this on, Only part of Object Desktop I don't have installed is Bitmaps, other 24 apps plus documentaion installed.
My Object Desktop folder, which also includes CursorXP Plus, ObjectDock Plus and Bootskin is 1.47 GB, at least 1.1 GB of that is skins, I may have missed some when checking. I have a 40 GB hard drive which has 72 % free space. 360 MB for the apps is not even close to one of todays games, hec that is less than the demo versions of most games.
A computer with 45 GB free or 30 free as your old one getting slow would not be due to how much space is used but how it is used. When your system gets slower first thing to do is defragment the hard drive.
