Hey there friends! I hope that you're having a happy weekend.
My wife and I enjoyed a quiet day at home with the baby. The only significant thing that we did was to go to the grocery store. We will enjoy the evening watching some stuff on television.
My biggest project of my (soon-to-be-completed) spring break was to trim the hedges in my side yard. After working quite hard on three seperate days, I finally finished cutting them down to a respectable size. When I was finished however, I wound up with a huge pile of branches that filled up my yard.
Yesterday I rented a wood chipper, and went to work at cutting all of the branches down into shavings. I had that thing running for 2-1/2 hours straight! That was a big job. After I was done, I wound up with a pair of tired hands, and numbness in my ears like after being at a rock concert. I feel okay today, but my hands still are a little rough from the wood and the vibrations.
Now in the last couple days of my break I will have to finish landscaping around the flagpole, and prepare my garden for tilling.
("landscaping around the flagpole" would be a good euphamism, wouldn't it?)
Here is the mess that I had to deal with:

And here is what it looks like after I finished running the branches through a chipper. There are only a few pieces left that I will use for firewood.

We had a photographer come to our house the other day. Here is what mama and baby looked like before he got to our house:
