Father's Love

How great it is

I placed the stars in the heavens for you
Take a look, on a clear night and know
Know that I love you -- my love is all around you

Look at the clouds,
Have childlike faith
See a dragon float through the sky
Know that I'm in control

Go sit on the beach
Watch the carefully placed waves ride toward shore
Be still once in a while
Know that I am God

Take a walk through a city
Look at all the different people
Not one is alike
And though they seem infinate
I don't love any of them more or less than I love you
I know how many hairs are on each of their heads
When one perishes, don't think I don't know
I grieve; I care
Not even one sparrow falls without my permission

Watch the children play in the streets
See their sunkissed faces
Smiling and laughing--without a care
Be like them-
For I will take your cares
If you will only give them to me

Live life to the fullest
But enjoy the little things most
Bake cookies with your kids
Tell them of my great love

Take a day off
Sit in a park, just talk to me
I take joy in watching you, my child

In summer, let the sun kiss you
In winter, let the snowflake touch you
In autumn, let the leaves fall around you
Always, let my love surround you

Just watch
Capture the moment in your heart
The moments are always fleeting
Listen to the birds sing
Listen to horses hooves on pavement
Look into a friend's eyes and know
Know that what I've created is good

Thank me
I died so that I could know you-
And so that you could fall in love with Me
Don't look for the happiness this world has to offer
Look to Me
And I will give you joy unspeakable
I created these moments for you
Look at a butterfly -- so carefree
I'll give you perfect peace
Only ask me, know me, love me
The stars were placed my me
How can you doubt Me?
Look around you and know
Know that I am good

Heavy poem...passionate.

Can God not be found in the happiness we can find here in this world?

I'm not quite sure I understand your question... I believe God's grace, wisdom, power and wonderfullness can be seen in the good we find here in this world. That's kind of what I was trying to depict in this peom/writing... that God's blessings can be and are found on earth.
