x64 can not be primary? does this make any practical difference?

I have a couple x64 systems and an old XP1700.

Is it true that the primary must be on a 32bit OS, and Multiplicity will not work on an x64 OS?

Does this make any difference in practice?
I just need to have the 32bit system boot up first?
Are there any other considerations?

Thanks,
Mal

I use my x64 (64-bit O/S as well, not just processor) as my primary and have had no problems whatsoever (apart from those I encountered when I used one of my 32 bit machines as primary)

In fact, it even seems more reliable - when I used a 32 bit machine as primary it would often disconnect from the secondaries for no reason, I have yet to see that occur in 2 months on my X64 machine
